We all know that election integrity has been a concern for a while now. And according to a new poll, most Americans pretty much think it no longer exists, at least not in the current form of our elections.
It comes from a Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey released on Friday.
According to the result, a full 56 percent of Americans think election integrity is a serious issue and that it will likely affect the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
In a news release, the poll announced that 1,029 likely US voters were asked, “How likely is it that the outcome of the 2024 presidential election will be affected by cheating?”
In addition to the 56 percent that responded it was likely, 31 percent also said it was “very” likely. It was also noted that 51 percent said mail-in ballots make it much easier for such cheating to happen.

As you can see by the X post by Rasmussen, the highest percentage of those who believe cheating is inevitable in 2024 come from the Republican Party’s base. Undoubtedly, this is due to many thinking that Donald Trump did or should have won the 2020 presidential election. Yet, for some reason, he was cheated out of it.
Of course, there are other elections where voter fraud was thought to be prevalent, such as Kari Lake’s gubernatorial loss in Arizona in 2020.
In fact, according to the Heritage Foundation’s Election Fraud Database, nearly 1,500 cases of voter fraud have been proven, with more than 1,200 criminal convictions as a result.
And yet, as you might have noticed from the poll results, most Democrats believe voter fraud doesn’t even exist. Only 40 percent of Dems thought cheating would affect the 2024 elections.
Of course, that shouldn’t shock any of us, considering it has been largely Democrats who have been caught committing voter fraud.
I mean, how else were they going to get their puppet Joe Biden into the White House? How else could they kick a man as popular and charismatic as Donald Trump out?
But I digress…
The solution is quite simple: we need to restore trust in the US election process. And the only way to do that is to make voter fraud as difficult as possible to occur.
This means implementing policies requiring things like voter ID at the polls, making Election Day truly just one day, only having paper ballots, demanding hand-counted results within 24 hours, etc.
Of course, there would be exceptions for election day-only voting as well as mail-in ballots for those such as the disabled and active military personnel.
But the results of this poll make one thing very clear: if the American public is to ever trust in our election system and processes again, we have to change some things. And we have to do it now…
