As you all too well, at this point, there is an ongoing crisis at our nation’s borders, primarily our southern one. Naturally, many in Congress are pushing to eliminate the problems and make our borders and, thus, our country more secure.
However, one Democrat made quite a fool of himself in trying to oppose those moves.
Enter Democratic Representative Maxwell Frost from Florida.
On Wednesday, the House was discussing the current issues at the border and attempting to find a solution. For Republicans and a growing number of leftists, that means introducing legislation that would do things like restart construction on the wall, limit asylum applications, and deport more illegals based on their criminal history.
Frost apparently has a problem with all of these ideas, which are included in a GOP-led bill known as H.R.2 or the Secure the Border Act.
In fact, he’s so against securing the borders of America that he posted that if the bill passes, then Republicans also need to pass a bill that “removes the Statue of Liberty, our largest symbol that tells people to come here.”

In his continued rant on the GOP, he said that passing a bill to stop criminals from illegally entering the US would be “removing the fabric of America. So, I want to know which Republican, who supports and voted for H.R.2, will introduce this bill. If you’re gonna support H.R.2 and these bigoted measures, the least you can do is not be a d**n liar.”
Of course, there are a number of problems with Frost’s fake proposed bill.
Firstly, is that Lady Liberty is not a symbol welcoming people or telling them to come here, so much as a symbol that liberty or freedom is to be had within our borders.
Secondly, it’s important to note that when it was given to the US as a gift from France, it was placed on Ellis Island along with one of our nation’s most frequented immigration centers, meaning immigrants were coming in legally.
What H.R.2 is trying to prevent is not immigration but illegal immigration—two entirely different things.
Lastly, it’s not just Republicans who support measures like the Secure the Border Act. You’ll remember that pretty much every big city mayor who has recently changed their mind on the border and deemed increased security more important is a Democrat.
Eric Adams isn't a Republican. Brandon Johnson isn't a Republican. None of the other mayors crying about immigrants are Republicans. https://t.co/reEKJDDkoE
