We’re seeing an unprecedented number of states blatantly ignore the Constitution. The 14th Amendment is being improperly used to keep Donald Trump off the GOP primary ballot. Liberal states such as Colorado and Maine have already done it – and it’s likely that other states will follow suit.

This is when we need politicians speaking out about how the Constitution must be followed. After all, failure to follow the very document that allows us to maintain law and order could result in absolute chaos.

Enter Nancy Pelosi.

No, she’s not going to make the situation better. Instead, she’s going to add fuel to the fire.

On a recent appearance on “This Week” on ABC, she provided her opinion to George Stephanopoulos. Even he was stunned.

Most of what she says is complete gibberish. She talks about the national anthem and proof that the flag was still there. Then, she talks about the 14th Amendment, forgetting that it’s not actually there to determine eligibility for presidents but for other politicians.

She mentions Article 14, Section 13, and then goes on to explain, “The point now is, again…different states have different laws. We don’t think in California that it applies, um, in our state…but anyway…that’s very intricate. What is very clear is that the American people want us to honor our oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Wow, that’s a lot to unpack, especially since most of what she’s saying is incomprehensible.

Here’s what we’ve been able to unpack.

  1. She believes the 14th Amendment makes Trump ineligible to be President.
  2. The Constitution can be interpreted differently by the different states.
  3. The states can trump the Constitution with their different laws.

Pelosi logic is terrifying, when you think about it. She certainly hasn’t helped the situation any.
