Meghan Markle has reportedly been blowing up California Governor Gavin Newsom’s phone with a greedy request. She wants the governor to appoint her to Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s US Senate seat if the geriatric Democrat should shuffle off her mortal coil. It’s gotten so bad that Newsom is said to be blocking Meghan’s calls. Normally we could care less about anything having to do with the British royals, since we’re Americans and we find them just plain silly. In this instance, though, it gives us an opportunity to talk about one of our favorite conspiracy theories of all time.
Under this theory, Meghan Markle goes into American politics.
What? What’s everyone laughing about? Come on, it’s not that far-fetched. Minnesota elected Al Franken to the Senate once upon a time. Plus, look at the vice president right now. Anything is possible when it comes to Democrats and politics.
Anyway, Markle will spend a few years in the Senate under this theory, before getting elected President of the United States. At that time, she will abdicate the Declaration of Independence and declare her husband King Harry of the newly reconstituted British Empire, having brought “the colonies” back into the fold.
We didn’t say it was a good conspiracy theory—just that it was one of our favorites. This was actually a real plot hatched by British elites in the early 1900s, although they’ve never had the chance to carry it to fruition. Until now!
CBN in Canada reports that Governor Newsom has become so annoyed by Meghan Markle constantly begging him to appoint her to the Senate that he has directed his staff to no longer forward her calls to him. He has also reportedly “personally blocked her from his mobile phone.” For the first time ever, we actually agree with Gavin Newsom about something!
