Insiders: Bush Family Are Plotting A Comeback To Destroy MAGA

Drop of Light

Former President George W. Bush and his family are reportedly planning to retake the Republican Party from President Donald Trump once he is out of office.

There are allegedly rumors stirring that there is a plot to end the so-called Bush Exile as part of an effort to take control of the GOP from Trump and his Make America Great Again policies.

“Now, rumors are stirring of a plot to end the so-called ‘Bush Exile’ and take back the GOP from the so-called scourge of Trumpism. Behind the scenes, and still with deep connections around the country, a shadow Republican Party is lying in wait to take over when Trump is gone. And, while the former president is determined not to publicly criticize Trump – much to the frustration of some of his former aides – he may not be averse to quietly helping to shape the Republican Party’s long-term future.”

One person described as a former Bush official told the Daily Mail that Trump knows that there’s no third term option. The source admitted that Vice President JD Vance has a head start over other possible Republican presidential candidates in 2028.

The former Bush official also predicted that there will be a big open field within the Republican Party for the 2028 presidential race.

Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele has also been reported as pleading for the former president to get involved in the party. Steele stated that Bush has a voice that would resonate with a lot more Americans.

Bush has made his feelings about Trump clear in past interviews and public statements.

In an interview with CBS News host Norah O’Donnell in 2021, Bush revealed he felt that Trump lacked the humility necessary to be an effective leader.

Back in October 2019 during Trump’s first term as president, Bush claimed Trump’s isolationist United States was destabilizing around the world. Bush warned that the U.S. becoming isolationist was dangerous for the sake of peace.

Bush’s comments at the time came after he led the nation into war in Afghanistan and Iraq with more than 4,500 Americans dying in Iraq. This included more than 3,500 killed in combat.

The Bush family has maintained deep connections throughout the Republican Party despite their public exile from influence during the Trump era. These connections span state parties, donor networks, and establishment figures who never fully embraced Trump’s populist message.

The reported plot suggests the Bush wing of the party sees an opening once Trump is constitutionally barred from running again in 2028. They believe the Republican Party will be up for grabs without Trump leading the ticket.

This represents a fundamental battle over the direction of the GOP. The Bush family represents the old establishment Republican approach focused on free trade, interventionist foreign policy, and close relationships with corporate donors and traditional party institutions.

Trump’s MAGA movement rejected much of that vision in favor of economic nationalism, skepticism of foreign entanglements, and a populist appeal to working-class voters who felt left behind by globalization.

The tension between these two visions has simmered throughout Trump’s political rise. Bush and other establishment Republicans largely sat out the 2016 and 2020 elections rather than openly supporting Trump.

Many establishment figures hoped Trump’s influence would fade after he left office. Instead, his popularity with Republican voters has only grown stronger, and he won another presidential term.

Now the Bush family and their allies appear to be positioning for a post-Trump future. They are working behind the scenes to maintain their networks and prepare for what they see as an inevitable opening.

The success of their plot will likely depend on what happens in 2028. If Vance runs and wins the Republican nomination carrying Trump’s banner forward, the Bush comeback may be delayed indefinitely.

But if the 2028 race becomes chaotic with multiple candidates splitting the MAGA vote, establishment figures might see their chance to reclaim influence. The Bush family clearly believes Trump’s movement is temporary rather than a permanent realignment of the party.

This sets up a potential civil war within the GOP between the populist MAGA wing and the old guard establishment represented by families like the Bushes. The outcome will determine whether the Republican Party continues on the path Trump set or returns to its pre-2016 identity.
