A Republican lawmaker is sounding the alarm about Democrats and illegal immigration.

Rep. Joe Wilson says Democrats want to give healthcare to illegal aliens.

The South Carolina congressman spoke with Breitbart News Saturday. He made a serious accusation against Democrats. They are buying votes with American taxpayer money.

Wilson has a history with this issue. Back in 2009, he made headlines during a Barack Obama speech.

Obama was addressing Congress about the Affordable Care Act. The former president claimed illegal aliens would not get Obamacare benefits.

Wilson yelled “you lie” at Obama during that speech.

“I almost fell out of my chair when he said what he said — that illegal aliens are not covered.”

Now Wilson says his concerns were completely justified. Democrats have shut down the government over expiring Obamacare subsidies. The congressman believes this shutdown has a hidden purpose.

He calls it “cover” to provide healthcare for illegal aliens.

Rep. Ro Khanna represents California in Congress. He admitted Democrats shut down the government partly over illegal alien healthcare access.

“In terms of the health care, the reality is they are just not being honest. The amount of money that actually is going towards people who are undocumented is such a small portion of the Medicaid cuts or the Affordable Care Act, if at all.”

Wilson sees through Khanna’s explanation. He told Breitbart News Saturday the shutdown has a clear goal.

The “whole intent” is to “bring in new democrat voters and part of that would be the attraction of providing free health care.”

“It’s so important to see the Republican Party stand up on this.”

Wilson says the situation is obvious now.

“They’re buying votes with American taxpayers’ money, it’s never been clearer.”

The congressman wants Republicans to hold firm. He believes the truth will come out through conservative media outlets.

“I have faith in Breitbart, faith in conservative media, that the truth will prevail and voters and constituents will be contacting their U.S. senators to agree to a clean continuing resolution, and we can discuss other issues later.”

Wilson thinks Americans will contact their senators once they learn the truth. He wants a clean continuing resolution passed. Other issues can wait for later discussion.

The Republican Party must stand united on this issue. Democrats are using government funding fights to help illegal aliens. They want to attract new voters by offering free benefits.

American taxpayers are footing the bill for this scheme. Democrats hope illegal aliens will eventually support their party. Healthcare access is just one way to win their loyalty.

Wilson was right to challenge Obama years ago. His “you lie” moment became famous across the country. Now he warns Americans about an even bigger problem.

The government shutdown is not really about healthcare subsidies. It is about changing America’s voter base forever.
