Governor Murphy Addresses Mysterious UFO Sightings in New Jersey
New Jersey has been buzzing with excitement and curiosity as residents report seeing strange and sophisticated unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in the night sky. Governor Phil Murphy said on Monday that authorities are taking these sightings “deadly seriously” and are working hard to get answers.
For several weeks now, mysterious nighttime sightings have sparked investigations, FAA-imposed flight restrictions, and demands for more transparency from 21 mayors. Governor Murphy understands the public’s concerns. “I don’t blame people for being frustrated,” he told reporters.
Authorities at multiple levels, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, are actively collaborating on the investigation. According to Murphy, these UFOs are very advanced, disappearing quickly whenever someone spots them. On Sunday night alone, there were 49 reports of UFO activity. While some of these might be multiple people reporting the same object or mistaking a plane for a drone, it’s clear that something unusual is happening.
The FBI has asked for the public’s help to gather information on what they describe as “a cluster of drones and possibly a fixed-wing aircraft” near the Raritan River.
Governor Murphy has been in constant communication with the White House and Homeland Security to ensure the safety of the state’s residents. He emphasized that, so far, there is no evidence of a threat to public safety, but officials remain cautious, especially with sensitive sites like military bases and utility areas potentially in the mix.
Some of the drones have even been seen near President-elect Donald Trump’s golf club in Bedminster. Governor Murphy assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to uncover the truth, emphasizing a commitment to full transparency—once all the facts are thoroughly reviewed and verified, of course.
“This is something we’re taking very seriously,” Murphy said. Murphy is asking residents to keep reporting anything strange.
