“The Biggest Scandal in American History”

House Oversight Chairman James Comer just raised the stakes in what he says could be “the biggest scandal in American history.”

Speaking to Newsmax on Tuesday night, Comer doubled down on his investigation into former President Joe Biden’s secretive inner circle and their use of the infamous “autopen” to sign off on major decisions—including executive orders and controversial pardons—when Biden himself may have been too mentally or physically impaired to act.

“We want to find out who was actually running the country,” Comer said bluntly.

Comer accused top Biden staffers of misleading the public for years about the former president’s mental capacity. With mounting evidence that Biden was in cognitive decline well before his diagnosis of metastatic prostate cancer, Comer said it’s time to find out who really pulled the strings.

“They stole the Presidency of the United States, and put us in Great Danger,” Comer declared. “This is TREASON at the Highest Level!”

Comer is now demanding to bring in Biden’s senior aides—many of whom refused to cooperate when Biden was in office. The questions he’s asking go straight to the heart of executive authority: who controlled the autopen, who decided what to sign, and did Biden himself authorize any of it?

“We don’t believe Joe Biden knew what was going on,” Comer said, a claim he says is now backed up by major media outlets that are scrambling to catch up after months of dismissing GOP warnings as conspiracy theories.

Biden’s use of the autopen—which allows officials to sign documents with a machine—is legal in some limited cases, such as emergencies or travel. But Comer says the Trump administration uncovered widespread use of the device during periods when Biden was barely functioning.

Now, Comer says the investigation is not just about incompetence—it’s about who knowingly allowed the executive branch to be commandeered by unelected aides and possibly even members of the Biden family.

“Some of those family members were possibly, and I would go even further and say, probably running the country,” Comer warned.

These allegations take on new gravity following the recent wave of media admissions about Biden’s sharp decline—stories that were conveniently suppressed until after the 2024 election.

Even CNN’s Jake Tapper, who previously mocked questions about Biden’s mental state, has had to acknowledge his reporting failures. Comer isn’t letting it go.

“The left-wing media is finally starting to admit what we’ve been saying for two years,” Comer said. “There was a cover-up by the White House. This investigation now has momentum from all places.”

Trump himself has called the Biden autopen scandal “one of the greatest abuses of executive power in American history,” demanding consequences for those responsible.

With subpoenas incoming, Biden’s former aides may soon be forced to testify under oath about who issued pardons, signed legislation, and implemented executive orders while Biden was potentially incapacitated.

For Comer and his allies, the goal is clear: “We are going to get to the bottom of this,” he vowed. “This wasn’t just incompetence. This was an inside job.”

And if Comer’s accusations bear out, it may not be just staffers on the hook—it could reshape how America understands the final years of Joe Biden’s presidency.
