Democrats Slam Law Enforcement With Shocking Label

During Wednesday’s episode of “The Alex Marlow Show,” Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow reacted to remarks from Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) accusing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of engaging in “terrorism” through its enforcement actions. Marlow said the statement reflects a troubling shift in how the Democratic base views border security, noting that such rhetoric earns cheers from progressive audiences.

“This is where they’re at now,” Marlow told listeners. “They consider just enforcing immigration and customs… they consider that terrorism. That’s their base voters — this gets cheers in the audience.”

ICE, the federal agency tasked with enforcing immigration law, has long been a target of criticism from the left, particularly from lawmakers aligned with the “Abolish ICE” movement. Those calls intensified during the Biden years and have escalated further under President Trump, who has reinstated strict immigration enforcement policies.

Ramirez’s remarks come at a time when the administration is reporting record numbers of migrant detentions and deportations. In July alone, ICE detained tens of thousands of illegal migrants as part of Trump’s expanded deportation push. While supporters of these measures argue they are essential for national security and economic stability, critics like Ramirez frame them as an inhumane crackdown on immigrant communities.

For conservatives, labeling these enforcement actions as “terrorism” is seen as a reckless and politically charged attempt to delegitimize federal law enforcement entirely. “If we can’t even agree that enforcing the law is legitimate, then what’s left of the rule of law?” Marlow questioned.

The comment also underscores the widening gap between Republicans and Democrats over border policy. While GOP lawmakers generally support ICE’s mission and have called for more resources and expanded detention facilities, Democrats in the party’s progressive wing increasingly view the agency as irredeemable. This divergence has made immigration enforcement one of the most divisive topics in Washington.

The political implications could be significant. Republicans are already using such remarks to paint Democrats as soft on border security and out of touch with mainstream voters who favor stricter immigration controls. Polls consistently show that a majority of Americans support enforcing existing immigration laws and securing the border — positions that are now being branded as “terrorism” by some on the left.

Marlow warned that this rhetoric not only undermines public trust in law enforcement but also emboldens activist groups seeking to obstruct immigration enforcement efforts. “The more they normalize this language, the more they give permission to those who want to resist ICE in the streets, block their vehicles, and harass their agents,” he said.

As immigration remains a top issue heading into the next election cycle, Republicans are expected to seize on moments like this to highlight what they see as the radicalization of the Democratic Party. Whether Ramirez’s comments represent a fringe opinion or the mainstream view within her party could become a talking point in debates and campaign ads in the months ahead.

For now, Marlow’s message to his audience was clear: the left’s escalating attacks on ICE are not just policy disagreements — they are redefining law enforcement as criminal behavior in the eyes of their voters. And that, he warned, is a dangerous precedent for the country’s future.
