Donations to the Republican National Committee (RNC) have plummeted to an 8-year low. This comes on the heels of the seventh national election in a row when Republicans have failed to gain any new ground under the failed leadership of Ronna Romney McDaniel. Not to worry, though! Ronna will look great during her next appearance on Fox News, since she’s been spending her six-figure, donor-supported salary on having some “work” done.
Both large and small donors are now refusing to donate as much cash to the RNC as they used to. In its October 30 financial filing, the RNC said it has just $9.1 million in cash on hand. That’s the lowest amount in the RNC’s coffers since 2015, or pre-Donald Trump if you prefer to think of it that way.
By way of comparison, the RNC had $20 million in the bank at this point in the 2016 election cycle, and more than $61 million in 2020, when President Trump was still in office. McDaniel says that this is normal for any primary election cycle, but that’s clearly not the case.
Most Republican voters now feel that the RNC’s values are completely out of line with the will of the people. Not to mention the fact that McDaniel and her underlings are collecting six-figure salaries while not delivering any results in national elections.
It’s hard not to feel like GOP donations are being mismanaged when McDaniel keeps paying for obvious cosmetic surgery procedures, in a failed attempt to make herself look marginally better on TV. She’s had a neck lift and a browlift in recent months. She also had an unfortunate Botox incident over the summer, when she had a startling pair of duck lips for several weeks. This isn’t inspiring a lot of confidence for 2024.
