Rite Aid, CVS and Walgreens are set to close more than 1,500 stores over the next year, despite the unelected Biden regime constantly claiming that we are not in a recession just yet (Any day now!). If this isn’t a recession or an outright Depression 2.0, then what would one look like? By the time all these closures have happened, millions of Americans will be forced to drive more than 20 miles to find their nearest “local” pharmacy in the US.
Rite Aid plans to shutter more than 150 stores by this time next year. Walgreens will also close 150 stores within the same time frame. They’re citing—of all things—the lack of demand for COVID vaccines for the closures. Talk about being a corporate shill for Big Pharma, even as your company is swirling the drain.
CVS, however, is facing the largest number of pharmacy closures and job layoffs. The company will have shut down 900 stores by the end of 2024, in a strategy that got underway within the first year after Joe Biden was installed in the White House.
To their credit, CVS is not lying about all the closures that it will implement, unlike Rite Aid and Walgreen’s. The company blames feral packs of black teenagers and children for looting its stores. (Although they’re not honest enough to point out that all of the kids are black.) One CVS pharmacy in Washington, DC now gets ransacked on a regular basis by packs of up to 50 black children, and there’s literally nothing left on the shelves when they’re done.
All of this is courtesy of the “managed decline” of America that’s happening on Joe Biden’s watch. America is one of the sickest and most overweight countries on earth, yet the Biden economy is so bad that places that sell medicine can’t even keep their doors open.
