Department of Homeland Security Identifies a Domestic Threat…and the Americans are Armed…but Not with Guns

The Biden administration has decided that Americans are more of a threat than anyone else. Forget about the illegal immigrants entering the U.S. from the southern border with guns and long rap sheets. Forget about the Islamic terrorists who were flown in from Afghanistan without being properly vetted. The real threat across America is home-grown terrorists.

And before we get too far into this story, remember, too, that guns are always the weapon of choice – and if the Democrats could just enact enough gun control laws, we’d all be so much safer.

The Department of Homeland Security has identified “domestic violent extremists” – otherwise known as DVEs – and they plan to attack the U.S. electric sector. At least, this is what DHS officials released in a recent intelligence bulletin.

We should probably be terrified, right? These extremists must be armed to the teeth with guns.

Nope. Actually, they’re armed with power saws and hammers. It’s proof that anyone interested in causing harm to people or property will use whatever weapons they can get their hands on. And in this particular case, it seems that saws and hammers are the better tools.

DHS has identified that “DVEs have developed credible, specific plans to attack electricity infrastructure since at least 2020, identifying the electric grid as a particularly attractive target given its interdependency with other infrastructure sectors.”

Now, if this has been going on since at least 2020, why haven’t we heard about it? Why haven’t these DVEs actually attacked the power grid? Why haven’t we seen continuous and significant issues with the power grid because of these extremists?

Crickets.

This is as if the DHS got bored and decided that they needed to sit around in a boardroom and think about all of the possible things that could happen…but haven’t actually happened yet. The electric sector has already been warned of this threat and has been told to take stock of the threats.

John Cohen, the head of DHS’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis said that the threat landscape following the January 6 riot is “one of the most complex, volatile, and dynamic that I’ve ever experienced in my career.”

Interesting. So, the violence that lasted for months in cities like Minneapolis and Portland, spawned by Black Lives Matter, wasn’t the most volatile? That was a blood bath that lasted for months.

January 6 was a single day’s event where people thought they were protecting democracy. And only two people lost their lives on that day.

The only reason that there are more “domestic terrorists” is that people are sick and tired of the way that the Democrats are destroying the country. They want to fight back and protect democracy so that the progressive left doesn’t shove the country toward socialism in an effort to “save” us.

People want to be heard, and they’re taking one of the least violent ways to be heard. Isn’t this a better approach than BLM and Antifa, who literally tore apart cities, block by block, in an effort to have their voices heard?

The “threats” that the DHS has identified are ridiculous. Most of what they find are people voicing their frustrations on online forums, talking about what they’d like to do. We all know that what we’d like to do and what we’d actually do are two totally different things.

If the DHS would focus on where the real threats lie, domestic “terrorism” would die down because it would mean that the government is actually doing its job.
